Cdnariel started as an internal tool for hosting build artifacts of a few side projects. It grew into a small service when friends asked to use it, and it has stayed small on purpose.
The service is operated from the European Union. Infrastructure is rented from established hosting providers; there is no custom hardware and no single point of failure that a weekend cannot fix.
Do one thing. Charge a flat price. Keep as little data as possible. Write down how it works so nobody has to guess.
We keep aggregated request counters and byte totals per project. We do not store visitor IP addresses, user agents or referrers beyond the short rotation window of the web server's own logs, which is seven days.
